Our Big 3 Year Old!!!!!!!!

Yes that's right..... Our little Michael is now a BIG 3 YEAR OLD! Where has the time gone? I feel like it wasn't long ago that we were bringing him home from the hospital. Michael is a sweet little boy. He is always smiling and is really funny. He makes us and himself laugh all the time. He started preschool this year and loves it. He is Mr. Social in the class which does not surprise me at all. He likes to ride bikes and play out side. He also loves to paint and read books. I think Michael's favorite thing to eat is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and the boy LOVES chocolate. Hmmm.... I wonder where he gets that from?

This year we celebrated Michael's birthday with a small dinner with Dave's parents, GG, and Uncle Mike on his actual birthday. The following day we held a party at Livorna Park for his class mates. There were a few other kids invited as well. We had lunch, a cupcake cake (which Michael accidentally stepped on!!!!! - see the picture below), games, face painting, and a pumpkin craft. He had so much fun! Enjoy the pictures of Michael's special day.

Earthquakes!

We had a couple earthquakes today in Alamo, CA. I usually only notice them at night when I am either in bed or when things have quieted down a little. Well, these earthquakes definitely caught my attention, and the kids too! I don't think Gracyn or Michael have ever really noticed one before. They are usually asleep! Michael was napping during the first one but Gracyn felt it and heard t. She looked a little frightened when I explained what was going on but was quickly ever it and was full of questions. Both Gracyn and Michael had just been put to bed when the second one hit. They were both in Gracyn's bed playing(they do this every night before they fall asleep) and then Michael started calling for me. I went into their room and he said, "Mommy something is scaring us." I explained what it was and he told me, "someone is stomping." Poor little guy was scared. He sat on my lap for a while and we snuggled and talked more about what had happened. He kept telling us that he wanted to "see it." Dave and I tried our best to explain what an earthquake is and that sometimes you can see the shaking but often you can only feel or hear it. I'm sure any science teacher would be very disappointed with our description but Michael seemed happy with it! Let's hope that was our last one of the night!

Lucy is 8 months!

Lucy turned 8months old this past Saturday. She is crawling all over the place (well, still army crawling), eating baby food and small finger foods, sleeping like a champ, and getting cuter everyday! Se still LOVES to suck her little left pinkie (seen below). We have never had a finger sucker and I think she is completely addicted. It still is so darn cute but I am beginning to see that it may become a problem down the road. Here are some recent pictures of sweet baby Lu!
