Potty Talk with a 3 year old

If you don't find potty talk funny, just skip this post.....

On the way home from Napa Christmas Eve morning Gracyn was complaining about being thirsty. I didn't have any water in the car so she keep saying "mommy, my tummy is telling me I'm thirsty, I need water!" Well, about 5 minutes later Michael pipes up, "Mommy my penis is telling me I need to go potty!" We pulled over.

Tonight, Lucy was in the bath and Michael was doing his business in the same bathroom. After a while he looked down between his legs and said "hey, there's a poo poo party!" Then he started singing Happy Birthday. Goofy little Michael!

Yes, we are still here!!!

Wow does a month fly by quickly. I guess you can say we have been a little busy. So here is a little recap of the last month....

My new hobby
About a year ago my father-in-law, Larry bought a face painting DVD for me. Well I finally decided to watch in and found some great face paint and found it was really fun. So I painted faces at Michael's Brithday, Halloween, and most recently my neighbors birthday party. See below!

Our Tahoe Trip
My parents came out for a quick trip at the beginning of November. All 7 of us took a little road trip to South Lake Tahoe for a couple of nights. What a great little get away. There was even a little snow for the kids to play in!

It's Crab Season!
Since the first weekend of November I have had my fair share of amazing crab dinners. Dave and his buddies have been out about 4 times so far and have each time come back with limits (10 huge dungeness crab each) We have had numerous crab feeds at our house. Yum! Dave's Uncle David and Aunt Ruth came for a visit over Thanksgiving and Uncle David was able to join Dave on one of his crabbing adventures.

Last but not least, Miss Lucy turned 9 months old on the 15th of November.
She is at such a fun age right now. She squeals and says da-da-da and ya-ya-ya. She still only has 2 teeth but eats just about everything. She started crawling on her hands and knees and pulling herself up to standing at the beginning of the month. She smiles a everyone and loves to snuggle. How can you not love that adorable face!
Well, thats it for now. I'll try not to wait another month for my next post!

Happy Halloween!!!!!!

Our little Trick-or-Treaters sure had a fun Halloween this year. From the pumpkin patch, to bobbing for apples, carving pumpkins, school parties, and trick-or-treating......... fun was had by all. And, what a great time to share pictures.

Gracyn was Black Swan this year. Yes, that's right... Black Swan, that scary movie. It was her idea too. Whenever the kids get to watch a TV show I usually have them watch it from On Demand on Comcast. For those of you that use Comcast, whenever you are in the process of selecting a program there is a little box on the upper right hand side of the screen showing advertisements. When the DVD Black Swan was being released, Gracyn noticed it and had a lot of questions. I saw the movie and it was very dark and creepy. I swear she never saw the movie!!! But wow, it made a great costume. Michael was a fighter pilot and Lucy was a leopard kitty and an Octopus.

Our Big 3 Year Old!!!!!!!!

Yes that's right..... Our little Michael is now a BIG 3 YEAR OLD! Where has the time gone? I feel like it wasn't long ago that we were bringing him home from the hospital. Michael is a sweet little boy. He is always smiling and is really funny. He makes us and himself laugh all the time. He started preschool this year and loves it. He is Mr. Social in the class which does not surprise me at all. He likes to ride bikes and play out side. He also loves to paint and read books. I think Michael's favorite thing to eat is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and the boy LOVES chocolate. Hmmm.... I wonder where he gets that from?

This year we celebrated Michael's birthday with a small dinner with Dave's parents, GG, and Uncle Mike on his actual birthday. The following day we held a party at Livorna Park for his class mates. There were a few other kids invited as well. We had lunch, a cupcake cake (which Michael accidentally stepped on!!!!! - see the picture below), games, face painting, and a pumpkin craft. He had so much fun! Enjoy the pictures of Michael's special day.
