Sleeping Beauty

I just had to share these pictures. One of Gracyn's favorite things to do is to dress up. Everyday she takes a 1 hour "rest" although she rarely falls asleep. Gracyn can read or play with anything she wants in her bed during rest time. A few weeks ago, this is what I found when I went in to get her after her hour was up! So sweet.

A Big Bike Riding Weekend at the Ard House!!!

Last weekend was a big weekend for Gracyn and Michael!!! Although Michael has always been a dare devil on his tricycles he has never really been interested in peddling. Until a few days ago!!!! The video attached shows him riding backwards. I guess he thinks that is more fun than the traditional way. Gracyn also hit a huge milestone. She received a big girl bike from Santa this year and just started riding with out her training wheels!!!! Aunt Reena and Aunt Rhonda bought a "Strider" bike for her a few years ago and I really thin this was the trick to helping her ride her new bike so easily! I have a attached a video of the 2 events and little down hill fast riding from a few weeks ago. Enjoy!

The Funny Things Kids Say

Gracyn and Michael crack me up every day. I'll share a few from the last few months......

Gracyn has a small crush on a boy in her class, Brady. She loves to play "mommies and daddies" at school with all the other kids. Guess who is ALWAYS the mommy? Thats right, Little Miss Gracyn. Well she has told me before "Brady is the best daddy." She asked me a few weeks ago if she could choose to marry Brady. I tried to explain to her that the husband and the wife choose each other. So, she then told me " I think I will ask Brady if he wants to marry me at school tomorrow, well, as long as he is not playing star wars."

Michael and Gracyn both LOVE Sunday School. On the way to church the other day Gracyn starting talking about sunday school and Michael kept saying "No. my school." So she told Michael that she has 2 schools and she asked me what made her schools different. I explain that Sunday School helps us to learn about God. Michael's reply "No, My God!!!"

I often will ask Gracyn for her help. Like "Gracyn can you go get your shoes?" Often her answer is "No, You can get them." So I reply "OK, I'm not asking now. I'm telling you to go get your shoes." So the other day she asked if I could go find her head bands. I told her they were in her bathroom and she could go get them. She replied" Mommy I'm not asking you, I'm telling you." OUCH!

Just some more Christmas photos!
